Mushrooms 12.3.14 Pine Cone Bird Feeders

Greetings, Mushrooms,

Hopefully you all enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving. We were staying at a family farm in the Hudson Valley, with a half a foot of snow to play with. The kids loved it! The weather report for tomorrow says “a chance of rain or drizzle, patchy fog, otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 52. Southwest wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.” I will bring supplies for pine cone birdfeeders: yarn to hang them, suet (to make them nut free), wax paper, and bird seed. If the weather cooperates and we bundle up, a walk to get pinecones together would be really nice!
Please RSVP to let me know if you can join us, 9am-10am, if you have any suggestions for making these feeders. If you can’t make it, here is a great resource with songs, books and games. Enjoy! http://more.ppld.org:8080/kids/grownups/growareader/birdsofafeather.pdf

Kind Regards,

Ms. D
