Did you know the GEC is a Fairchild Challenge Partner with the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden? This Spring, your classroom can compete regionally in a Compost Poster Challenge, Lettuce Challenge, Educator Challenge, or Environmental Action Film Challenge.

How to Participate

  1. Decide which Fairchild Challenges at GEC you are interested in.
  2. Read through the Policies and Procedures, for our general requirements, and confirm participation with your school administrators.
  3.  REGISTER YOUR SCHOOL for each challenge
  4. Check back here for detailed challenge requirements (News & Updates below), and encourage parents, students and teachers to submit their entries.
  5. Your school collects all challenge submissions, then submits your top three to the GEC, with Entry Forms.
  6. RSVP to awards ceremony.
  7. Contact youth.director@gecgreenwich.org with any questions.
