Where ideas blossom

Fun challenge:  Can you name our greenhouse and classroom blooms below?

This Friday we welcome Mushrooms (age 1-3 with Caregivers), 9-10 am, and Sprouts (age 3-8) 3:45-5pm, for some bright nature play with plants from our greenhouse.  Invite your friends and pre-register by Thursday 2 pm.

Join us in the classroom, where you will choose your inspiration, then craft colorful window decorations and small worlds.

Dress for snow!  We will head to hike and play outside where we can look for symmetries and spirals on Pinetum evergreens.

Of course, don’t forget we get to tour the greenhouse, and return our plants to where they are grown and cared for by our volunteers and horticultural experts.

We are so grateful we can enjoy our plant studies year-round.

Hints:  Primrose, Camellia, Cyclamen, Citrus, Succulent, Kalanchoe, Gardenia, Orchid, Spruce, Cineraria, Geranium

We have had practice making six sided snowflakes, paper daffodils, and paperwhites, but our upcoming plant of the year (guess what it is!) has five petals.  Here are the instructions we are using for folding for five point paper flowers:

Can’t wait to see your colorful window creations!
